I've spent over 20 years in the design industry, from teaching photoshop, web design, movie promotion, and branding agencies to digital marketing-I think I've done most jobs. I design everything from custom typefaces for advertising agencies to ready to buy fonts for designers (like you) to the occasional digital oil painting for TV and print. Hello, that's me or itsmesimon, aka Simon Stratford. You can watch a quick demo on how to do this in Photoshop CC. That means you can change out repeated glyphs with alternatives. Plus an additional stylistic alternative for A,B,D,O,P,Q,R and a,b,d,e,g,o,p,q and three alternatives for numbers. It includes one stylistic alternative for uppercase and lowercase A-Z. I wanted it to be dirty, so it looks more real and has a bit of personality. This gives it an industrial, almost military look and feel. The stencil font was created by hand cutting letter stencils and spraying them with black paint. I'm not sure if it's just a London thing or if the daily commute is hell in New York City, Paris, Madrid, Seoul, Shanghai, Beijing, Mexico City, Moscow, Tokyo and Berlin.
A modern stencil font Mind the Gap was born out of the frustration of the love/hate relationship I have with the daily commute in London.
